DL#8 HW#5

I kind of like doing the peer reviews. It allows me to see other peoples' writing styles and also their views on controversial issues. I thought the five activities from chapter 7 were kind of redundant since most of them asked some of the same questions. It did help me to change my thesis statement and research question though. I didn't do the grammar assignment. I tried to understand it but it is very confusing and I feel sick so I'm just going to skip it. Other than that, this deadline was quick, which I like because I'm short on time.

Hey Amanda,
When you submit your paper into turnitin.com you should see it as a submitted paper. Well to the right of that there should be a little bar that is colored that has a certain percentage in it. Click on you paper and it will have highlighted what is a match and where it came from... like another students paper or website..etc.

Amanda ~ The grammar assignment basically means to read chapter 3 in the handbook, then take two paragraphs from your current writing project (WP#2 or WP#3 - whichever one you're on) and redo them using the techniques you either learned or reviewed from the handbook. When you post your blog for completing the assignment, be sure to include which exercises (in the handbook or the websites reviewed) specifically helped you or that you completed.

I hope this helps and I hope you feel better soon!
