DL#3 HW#5

The group I have chosen to focus on is high school students. They are at the age where they want to feel like they belong and are sometimes pressured to do things. One of those pressures is drinking alcohol. Since they are at a young age, they do not realize the cautions and dangers drinking can bring. It would be in their best interest to learn early on about the dangers of drinking, including what dangers can happen right then and also later on in life.

In my experience, I didn't learn all that much about alcohol in school except for the DARE program. This program did teach about why drinking and driving are bad, but not about alcoholism and how easy it is to become addicted to alcohol. In my freshman year of high school three people died from alcohol poisoning. I believe that if schools spent more time teaching about these dangers, fewer young adults would be dead from alcohol related incidents.
